childhaus

a hundred years from now, what will matter is i was important to a life of a child

we (me, julia, loraine, lee, madz, sele, anjela, angge, ailora) went to childhaus yesterday.. its a place where less fortunate children with cancer from provinces stay when they have chemo in manila.. its located in Quezon City.. sa likod lang ng PCSO.. we went there to give the money our class was able to raise nung ymad (youth making a difference.. <<---- THATS US!) concert last nov 12..

at first it was depressing.. as in.. lalo na when we walked into the dining room (i think it is a dining room.. hehe..) most of the children were there.. dun kasi ung chistmas party nila.. the children there presented 2 dances.. then there was a magic show.. then they asked us to sing 3 songs.. hahaha.. shocking.. we werent prepared pero they said it was goOoD.. haha.. sabi pa nga ni loraine.. "from the heart kasi".. asus!

after that it was eating time! but of course, we didnt eat, para sa kanila lang ung fOod.. besides, kakakain lang namin nun.. we roamed around.. socialized with the kids and their families..

met Anabelle she's 18.. she has cancer of the bone.. wala na shang isang leg.. she LOOKS like julia!! hehe.. julia was able to chat with her.. she said that they (she and her sister.. i think) used to live with their uncle who doesnt treat them like family.. she learned only this april that she has cancer.. she had her right (i think again.. haha.. as you can see, i am doing a lot of thinking.. hehe) leg removed this july lang.. this november, she stayed na at childhaus.. she has chemo therapy today.. her sister, a year older than her, finished highschool and stopped schooling just so she could attend to her..

then there's mica conde she's 8th months old.. i don’t know what they call her sickness.. basta its like hydrocephalus, only ung water nasa may taas ng nose nya.. kaya mejo naaffect ung left eye nya.. she’s financially aided by bantay bata..

there's also Michael.. who looks healthy and normal.. but he has leukemia..

there were also little children who are I think mga 2-4 years old who are already bald because of chemo..

I don’t know.. life is unfair.. why do these innocent kids have cancer.. while there are a lot of bad people who happen to be filthy rich, na wala namang sakit.. these kids deserve a better life.. I don’t know.. its just that, they should be having a care-free, fun-filled life.. but look at them.. they cant live their lives the way other kids do.. at very early ages, they already suffer the pains cancer brings..

when I'm older, and when I'm super rich na .. I’ll give a big portion of my money to them..

my ultimate wish this Christmas, next to my usual wish (hahaha).. is that gumaling silang lahat dun..
